Muralist John Ton has started work on the 80' wall on Wharf Road just north of the railroad trestle. This is a Public Art Project sponsored by the Capitola Art & Cultural Commission and slated to be completed this fall. Watch for more posts as the mural progresses. The design is a portal of begonias into a Capitola Ocean view with the wharf and Stockton Bridge. Keep an eye for several beach figures to appear soon.

Wharf outline emerges in Mural today!
Today as photos were being taken of the mural progress, the reporter Linda Friday from the Capitola Post was interviewing John and his assistant. Their photographer Dave was taking photos for the paper, so be watching for an article in the next issue. Here are some photos from today.
